Flying With Us

Flights to our wilderness camps are operated by NDK Air Ltd. Each flight departs from the NDK Air base on Mackenzie Lake Road in the town of Armstrong Station, Ontario. Depending on the size of your group and the weight of your baggage, your flight will take place on one of NDK Air's two regularly-maintained floatplanes.

How much can I pack?

To comply with the Transport Canada guidelines for weight and balance, we ask that our guests pack no more than 125 pounds (56.7 kg) per person. We are happy to accommodate heavier loads, but we ask that you contact us at least 3 weeks in advance to arrange this as it may include organizing a separate charter flight. More information on what you should bring on your trip to our wilderness camps is available in our packing guide.

What can't I bring on board?

To ensure the safety of everyone on board, we ask that you let us know before your flight if you have any dangerous goods in your luggage, so we can ensure that it is stored and transported safely in the aircraft. This includes such things as:

  • Bear spray
  • Lithium batteries
  • Propane tanks
  • Dry ice
  • Ammunition

Sharp objects such as fishing hooks or knives should always be packed securely in a way that they won't poke through your luggage. If you are traveling with a firearm, make sure to remove all ammunition before your flight and take extra care in handing your firearm to our crew when they are loading the aircraft for your departure.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding your flight with us, please contact us by calling +1 807 583 2625 or email us at info@ottertoothoutposts.com.
